An Honest Liar is a feature length documentary that will reveal the colorful life
and escapades of James Randi, explore the history and dangers of magical thinking and
deception, and go undercover with Randi as he plots his next major hoax. It will also
make the audience question their own eyes and wonder what is real and what is not.

With a biographical style similar to Bill Cunningham, New York and Being Elmo, but capped with a twist akin to Exit Through the Gift Shop, An Honest Liar will be an historical biography, a call for reason and education, and a magic act in itself. Like pulling a rabbit out of a hat, An Honest Liar will reveal one of American’s hidden treasures and leave you wondering “how did they do that?”
